Scott Naismith is a Glasgow, Scotland based artist who specializes in abstract expressionism. He was born in Edinburgh in 1966 and has been living in Glasgow since graduating from college in 1989.
Naismith’s art is inspired by the Scottish landscape and is portrayed through the energy in his paintings. He strives to capture the kindness and beauty of nature in his work.
His use of colour is both harmonious and dynamic, and his attention to balance and detail makes his works a sophisticated choice in abstract expressionism art.
Naismith’s work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and collections, both in Scotland and internationally. In 2017, he had his first solo show at the Glasgow School of Art in Glasgow, Scotland. His work is also held in private collections in the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States.
